Leah, known as Leah, was born about 1835 in Wilkinson Co, Georgia.  Leah's father was Allen CANNON and her mother was Racheal RIGSBY.  Her paternal grandparents were Nathaniel CANNON and Frances SUMNER. She had two brothers and three sisters, named Iverson, William, Lucretia, Phoebe and Frances.  She was the second youngest of the six children.
