Anderson Junior Hunsucker
Anderson Junior was born on May 31st, 1932 in Slayden, Marshall, Mississippi, USA.1 Anderson Junior's father was Beckham Anderson Hunsucker and his mother was Gladys Idele Rigsby. His paternal grandparents were Beckham Anderson Sr Hunsucker and Mollie Jane Shepard; his maternal grandparents were Emmett Rigsby and Florence Dolly Wilson. He had seven brothers and a sister, named Louis Brown, Charles Edward, Julian McCoy, Thomas William, Rocky Lain, Terry Terrell, Ronald Lee and Betty Jane. He was the oldest of the nine children. He died at the age of 83 on October 12th, 2015 in Somerville, Fayette, Tennessee, USA. He was buried in Macon, Fayette County, Tennessee, United States of America.2 1 General Notes
Anderson Junior (A.J.) Hunsucker, age 83, resident of the Somerville Community and husband of the late Margie Bobbitt Hunsucker, departed this life Monday evening, October 12, 2015 at his residence.
Services of Remembrance with Military Recognition for Mr. Hunsucker will be conducted at 2 P.M. Thursday, October 15, 2015 at the Peebles West Funeral Chapel at Oakland. A visitation for Mr. Hunsucker will be from 6 to 8 P.M. Wednesday, October 14, 2015 at the Peebles West Funeral Chapel at Oakland. The officiating ministers will be Dr. Kenneth Culver of the Warren Community Church and Bro. David Reeves of the Midway Baptist Church in Whiteville. Interment will follow in the Pleasants Cemetery in Rossville. Arrangements will be provided by Peebles Fayette County Funeral Homes & Cremation Center - West Chapel at Oakland.
Mr. Hunsucker was born May 31, 1932 in Slayden, Mississippi. He was preceded in death by his parents, Beckam Anderson Hunsucker and Gladys Idele Rigsby Hunsucker. He received his education in the Marshall County, Mississippi Public School System. He was married August 8, 1955 to the former Margie Bobbitt, who preceded him in death on December 28, 2014.
Mr. Hunsucker was a lifelong resident of North Mississippi and Fayette County and was a member of Feathers Chapel Baptist Church in Somerville. He was employed for over 40 years at Chickasaw Electric Company, retiring as a supervisor. He enjoyed gardening and attending sports events and will be remembered as a loving father, grandfather and great grandfather.
Mr. Hunsucker is survived by four daughters, Sharon D. Byrd (Barry) of Lamar, MS, Teresa Threet (Pete) of Somerville, Wanda Gray (Bill) of Somerville, Stephanie Hyatt (David) of Rock Hill, SC; three sons, Kenneth Robin Hunsucker of Somerville, Andy Hunsucker (Mary) of Somerville, Eric Hunsucker of Oakland; 20 grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.
In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Charles Hunsucker, McCoy Hunsucker and William Hunsucker.
Those honored to serve as pallbearers will be Brian Hunsucker, Adam Hunsucker, Matt Kelley, David Gray, Daniel Gray and Gabriel Threet. Honorary pallbearers will be employees at Chickasaw Electric Company.
The family requests that memorials be directed to the Alzheimer´s Association, 713 S. Mendenhall Road, Memphis, TN 38117.
