She had two brothers and eleven sisters, named John Henry "Peck", Relay "Slick", Lottie Jane, Vennie Myrtle, Anna Mae, Irene "Maude", Lorene "Mollie", Lillie, Mamie "Polly", Wayne, Clarice Burnette "Sally", Verlena "Sweetie" and Ida Belle. She was the second oldest of the fourteen children. She died at the age of 87 on September 22nd, 1998 in Tupelo, Lee, Mississippi, USA.General Notes
Mrs. Maggie Lee ALLEN SKELTON, 87, of Ashland, Miss., died September 22, 1998 at North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo. Services were held at 3 p.m. on September 24 at Ashland Baptist Church, where she was a member. Burial was in Ashland Cemetery. Dr. Mark JOHNSON officiated. Holly Springs Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. She leaves her husband, John L. SKELTON; four daughters, Linda Kay SKELTON JAMES, Virgie Mae SKELTON REED, Bernice SKELTON ELDER, Anice (Bonnie) SKELTON JONES; four sisters, Lillie ALLEN RHEA, Ida Belle ALLEN FORD, Anna ALLEN BUMPAS, Marnie (Polly) ALLEN BYRD; 11 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
