Rhoda Thornton

Rhoda was born in 1897 in Barnoldswick, Yorkshire, England.¹ Rhoda's father was Dick Thornton and her mother was Elizabeth Whittaker. Her paternal grandparents were James Thornton and Ellen Hartley. She had two brothers and four sisters, named Norman, Dick, May, Maud, Clara and Jane E. She was the fifth oldest of the seven children.
