Charles Thornton

Charles was born in 1891 in Manningham, Yorkshire, England.¹ Charles' father was James L Thornton and his mother was Mary Jane Gill. His paternal grandparents were William Thornton and Mary (Thornton). He had two brothers and two sisters, named Thomas A, Albert W, Ethel and Harriet A. He was the youngest of the five children. He had two half-brothers named Harold and Herbert.
