James (Jacob) Pettyt

James (Jacob) was born in 1762 in Sutton, Kildwick, Yorkshire, England. James (Jacob)'s father was Anthony Pettyt and his mother was Mary Lund. His paternal grandparents were Richard Pettyt and Mary Sharp. He had five brothers and four sisters, named Christopher, Richard, Abraham, Anthony, Joseph, Hannah, Mary, Sarah and Grace.
