Ann was born on January 26th, 1785 in Deerstones, Bolton Abbey, Yorkshire, England and her baptism took place on February 22nd, 1785 in Bolton Abbey, Yorkshire, England.1   Ann's father was Henry Pettyt and her mother was Hannah Gill.  Her paternal grandparents were Henry Pettyt and Ellen Holmes; her maternal grandfather is William Gill and her maternal grandmother was Mary Petty.  She had four brothers and five sisters, named George, James, Sylvester, Henry, Mary, Ellen, Isabel, Hannah and Hanrietta.  She was the sixth oldest of the ten children.  She died at the age of 84 on December 1st, 1869 in Yorkshire, England.
