William Petty

William was born on March 17th, 1774 in Shipton By Thorpe, Yorkshire, England.¹ William's father was David Petty and his mother was Elizabeth Grainger. His paternal grandparents were David Petty and Jane Edwards. He had two brothers and five sisters, named David, John, Jane, Elizabeth, Ann, Mary and Ellen. He was the youngest of the eight children. He died at the age of 80 on March 11th, 1855 in Shipton By Thorpe, Yorkshire, England.¹
