Jane Petty

Jane was born in 1835 in Menwith Hill, Menwith & Darley, Hampsthwaite, Yorkshire, England. Jane's father was William Petty and her mother was Jane (Pettyt). Her paternal grandparents were John Petty and Mary. She had four brothers and five sisters, named Thomas, Joseph, William, Benjamin, Mary, Ann, Sarah, Hannah and Maria. She was the oldest of the ten children.
