Martha Pettey

Martha was born in 1757 in Gamshaw, Hebden, Linton, Yorkshire, England. Martha's father was Robert Pettyt and her mother was Agnes Gladding. Her paternal grandparents were William Petyt and Mary Day. She had four brothers and a sister, named George, Sylvester, Thomas, William and Mary. She was the oldest of the six children.
