Frank Newiss

Frank was born in December 1882 in Keighley, Yorkshire, England. Frank's father was Enoch Newiss and his mother was Mary Simpson. His paternal grandparents were Joseph Newiss and Ann Hartley. He had five brothers and a sister, named Thomas Henry, Charles Edward, William, Ernest, Enoch and Esther Ann. He was the fourth oldest of the seven children.

  His first wife had died, it is believed that his daughter went to live with the parents of his new wife, and that her brothers lived with Franks parents.
  
  On his return Frank and his family moved into a house on Spring Row at Long Lee.
