Ruby was born in 1908.  Ruby's father was William Brownlie Williamson and her mother was Barbara JESSIE Smith.  Her paternal grandparents were John Williamson and Rebecca Kay; her maternal grandparents were James Patterson Smith and Barbara Jeffrey Johnstone.  She was the second of four children.  She had three brothers named John, Rita and Jessie.  She died at the age of 94 in 2002.
