Rita was born in 1910.  Rita's father was William Brownlie Williamson and his mother was Barbara JESSIE Smith.  His paternal grandparents were John Williamson and Rebecca Kay; his maternal grandparents were James Patterson Smith and Barbara Jeffrey Johnstone.  He was the third of four children.  He had two brothers and a sister, named John, Jessie and Ruby.  He died at the age of 90 in 2000.
