Frederick was born on April 20th, 1790 in Bucks county, Pennsylvania, USA.1  Frederick's father was Frederick G Younkin and his mother was Maria Barbara Dieter.  His paternal grandparents were Johann Heinrich “Henry” Junghen and Catharina Scherer (Junghen). He had four half-brothers and eight half-sisters, named John, Frederick, Henry, Moses, Christina, Betsy, Magdalena, Catharine, Sally, Nancy, Peggy and Polly.  He died about November 6th, 1838 in Nockamixon Township, Bucks county, Pennsylvania, USA.1

Frederick and Elizabeth were married in a religious & civil ceremony.1   They had three sons and six daughters, named Charles, Nicholas, Henry, Anna, Matilda, Hannah, Mary, Sarah and Catharine.
