Jakob Waelz (Welz)

Jakob was born on July 30th, 1857 in Brienne, Bessarabia, Russia (now Ukraine).¹

Jakob's father was Gottlieb Waelz and his mother was Anna Justina Sprecher (Waelz). His paternal grandparents were Martin Welz and Christina Dekowsky (Welz, Heiss); his maternal grandparents were Gottfried Sprecher and Anna Katharina Sokolosky (Sprecher). He had three brothers and two sisters, named Johann, Gottlieb, Jacob, Christina and Louisa. He was the fourth oldest of the six children. He died at the age of 2 on January 18th, 1860.¹
