Shoba's father is Maria Selvam/Anthonisamy and her mother is Jacintha.  Her paternal grandparents are Arockiam Malaysia and Adaikalam; her maternal grandfather is Kulandaisamy and her maternal grandmother was Anthoniammal. She has a brother and four sisters, named Michael Xavier Antony, Margret, Mary Florence, Stella Mary and Christina Mary.
