Diraviyam's father is Duraisamy and her mother is Amala.  Her paternal grandparents are Savariappan and Chinnammal; her maternal grandparents are Devanayagam, Ariyuraan and Elizabethammal. She has two brothers and three sisters, named Arulraj, Gnananantham, Poongavanam, Geetha and <Unknown>.  She is the second oldest of the six children.
