Edward was born in 1871.  Edward's father was Willie (Blutcher) and his mother was Maria.  His paternal grandparents are Patsy and Miss Byrne.  He had five brothers and six sisters, named Luke, Peter, Patrick, Ben, William, Bridget, Biddie, Margaret, Catherine, Jessie? Tessie? and Dorothea.  He was the fourth oldest of the twelve children.
