Dorothea was born in 1886. Dorothea's father was Willie (Blutcher) and her mother was Maria.  Her paternal grandparents are Patsy and Miss Byrne.  She had six brothers and five sisters, named Luke, Peter, Edward, Patrick, Ben, William, Bridget, Biddie, Margaret, Catherine and Jessie? Tessie?.  She was the eleventh oldest of the twelve children.
