José Camilo was born on July 11th, 1840 in San Juan; Argentina.  His godfather was Manuel Maradona y Torres and his godmother was Rita Aberastain y Benegas.  José Camilo's father was Blas Yornet and his mother was Pepa Yarza y Benegas.  His maternal grandparents were José María Yarza (Reteguy) and Juana Isabel Benegas. He had six brothers and a sister, named Blas María Maduz, Segundo Blas, José Ramon, Manuel Medardo, José Ramon, José Miguel and María Gertrudis.  He was the fourth oldest of the eight children.
