Simon's father was Joseph Orbach and his mother was Pesa Weinberg.  His paternal grandparents were Yeshayahu Abraham Orbach and <Unknown>; his maternal grandparents were Pinchas  Eliyahu Weinberg and <Unknown>. He had two brothers and a sister, named Lewis, Solly and Polly.  He was the second oldest of the four children.  He died at the age of 85 on September 29th, 1985 in Port Elizabeth.  He was buried at the Port Elizabeth Jewish Cemetery.¹
