Benjamin VanVickle

Benjamin was born before 1813 in Illinois. Benjamin's father was Evert VanVickle and his mother was Sarah White. His paternal grandparents were Evert VanVickle and <Unknown>; his maternal grandparents were Benjamin White and Susannah Justus. He had four brothers and four sisters, named Enoch, William, Jackson, John, VanVickle, Elizabeth, Susan and Sarah (Sally). He was the oldest of the nine children.

    - Possibly named for his maternal grandfather. He had an original land claim in 1834, Vermilion Co, IL in what later became Blount Twp. If he was at least 21 at time of claim, he would be born 1813 or earlier, making him the eldest son.
