Theodore was born on September 4th, 1874 in Nashville, Davidson County, Tennessee.1   Theodore's father was Wilhelm (Henry) Carl Trauernicht and his mother was Catherine Bersche.  His paternal grandparents were Henry Trauernicht and Johanna Knobbe; his maternal grandparents were Louis Bersche and Anna Marie Moser. He had seven brothers and four sisters, and also a sibling of unknown gender, named Wilhelm, Johanne, Pa Heine, Louis, Fred, Edward, Elizabeth, Augusta, Anna, Catherine, Marie and Tenny.  He was the sixth oldest of the thirteen children.  He died due to a medical problem, Scarlet Fever, at 11 months old on August 20th, 1875 in Nashville, Davidson County, Tennessee.  He was buried at the Mount Olivet Cemetery, Nashville, Davidson County, Tennessee.1 1
