Edward was born about 1884 in Tennessee.1   Edward's father was Wilhelm (Henry) Carl Trauernicht and his mother was Catherine Bersche.  His paternal grandparents were Henry Trauernicht and Johanna Knobbe; his maternal grandparents were Louis Bersche and Anna Marie Moser. He had seven brothers and four sisters, and also a sibling of unknown gender, named Wilhelm, Johanne, Pa Heine, Theodore, Louis, Fred, Elizabeth, Augusta, Anna, Catherine, Marie and Tenny.  He was the third youngest of the thirteen children.



Edward's family

Edward and Claudia were married.  They had a son and a daughter, named Paul and Lulu.
