Carl, known as Henry, was born on October 8th, 1837 in Isenstedt, Prussia.1   Henry's father was Carl Heinrich Mueller and his mother was Anna Sophie Hagemeier.  He was an only child.  He died from a stroke, Paralytic, at the age of 89 on January 23rd, 1927.  He was buried in Grace Cemetery, Strasburg, Shelby County, Illinois.1 1 




Henry's family

Henry and Caroline were married in a religious ceremony on April 12th, 1863 in St. John's Lutheran Church, Pleasant Ridge, Madison County, Illinois.1   They had seven sons and four daughters, named Bill, Gottlieb, Carl, Friedrich, Johann, Carl, Carl, Anna, Henrietta, Emilie and Lena.  Carl and Henrietta were twins.
