Henry "Hugh" was born on April 14th, 1885 in Scott County, Indiana, USA.1   Henry "Hugh"'s father was Lewis Melvin "Melville" McCartney and his mother was Angeletta "Anna " Owens.  His paternal grandparents were William McKay McCartney and Mary Ann "Polly" Law; his maternal grandparents are George W. Owens and Nancy Jane Monroe. He had three brothers named William, Harry Lee and Roy Murrow.  He was the second youngest of the four children.  He died at the age of 72 on March 3rd, 1958 in Lexington, Scott, Indiana, USA.  He was buried in Scaffold Lick Cemetery.2 1
