David Rankin

David was born in 1783 in Thornton, NH.  David's father was James Rankin and his mother was Margaret Witherspoon. He had six brothers and a sister, named John, Samuel, Andrew, William, Henry, James and Miriam.  He died at the age of 69 on May 28th, 1852 in Haverhill, OH.  He was buried.¹ 

‌David and Persis were married in a religious ceremony in 1808.  They had a son and eight daughters, named David, Charissa, Melinda, Elona, Chastina, Harriet, Persis, Emily and Ellen.
