John Dalton

John was born on April 28th, 1775.  John's father was Samuel Dalton Jr and his mother was Charlotte Gallahue.  His paternal grandparents were Samuel Dalton Sr and Anne; his maternal grandparents were William Gallahue and Ann Kenner. He had four brothers and five sisters, named William, Nicholas, Samuel, Ewell, Ann, Jane, Elizabeth, Mary and Mourning.  He was the fifth oldest of the ten children.  He died at the age of 83 in 1858.
