Rochla was born on April 2nd, 1869 in Radzilow, Lomza Gub., Poland.  Rochla's father was Lazor Czerwinski and her mother was Mariaszka Chaimowna Sawicki.  Her paternal grandparents were Benyamin (Benko) Czerwinski and <Unknown>.  She had three sisters named Lea, Chana and Chinka.  She was the oldest of the four children.
