Mrs Elizabeth Skillings

Elizabeth was born on April 25th, 1713 in Cape Elizabeth.¹ Elizabeth's father was Lt Samuel Skillings Sr and her mother was Mrs Rhoda (Aroda) Haley. Her paternal grandparents were Mr John Skillings and Mrs Elizabeth Mary Ingersoll; her maternal grandparents were Mr Andrew Haley Sr and Mrs Deborah Wilson. She had two brothers and seven sisters, named Samuel, Josiah, Mary, Rebecca, Catherine, Dorcas, Deborah, Joanna and Susanna. She was the sixth oldest of the ten children.¹

General Notes
- "...received a grant of land at Long Creek (Cape Elizabeth), of 45 acres, from her father, which in 1792, was deeded by William Berry of Bucktown (Buckfield) to Edward Doane of Cape Elizabeth...all her daughters lived in Buckfield at one time.."
