Deacon Stephen Bishop

Stephen was born on October 16th, 1716 in Stamford.¹ Stephen's father was Mr Stephen Bishop and his mother was Mrs Waitstill Green. His paternal grandparents were Mr Stephen Bishop and Mrs Mercy Pierson; his maternal grandparents were Mr Joseph Green and Mrs Elizabeth. He had a brother and two sisters, named Joseph, Azuba and Elizabeth. He died at the age of 74 on May 16th, 1791 in Stamford.¹

- Bishop, Stephen, late of Stamford, will dated May 12, 1791, probated July 5, 1791, all to his wife Sarah for life, remainder to his children Stephen, Sarah, Hannah, Lydia, and Elizabeth. Executor his son Stephen. Witnesses Ezra Weed, James Hoyt and Reuben Scofield, page 52. Inventory taken by Seth Weed and Stephen Rockwell and filed Dec. 6, 1791, page 53.
