William Henry was born on September 17th, 1856 in Bethel, Oxford, Maine.  William Henry's father was Moses Sweat and his mother was Fanny Sweat.  His paternal grandparents were Benjamin Sweat and Mary (Molly) Sweat; his maternal grandparents were John Cummings and Martha Cummings. He had five brothers and four sisters, named Benjamin, John C., Moses F., Franklin P., Daniel C., Mary, Martha C., Sarah and Fanny.  He was the youngest of the ten children.  He died at the age of 4 on June 17th, 1861.  He was buried in Abbott Mills Cemetery, Abbott Mills Cemetery, Rumford, Maine.
