John was born on April 5th, 1673 in Malden, Middlesex, Massachusetts.1   John's father was Thomas Skinner and his mother was Mary Skinner.  His paternal grandparents were Thomas Skinner and Mary Skinner; his maternal grandparents are Richard Pratt and Mary. He had seven brothers and three sisters, named Thomas, Abraham, Ebenezer, Nathaniel, Richard, Joseph, Benjamin, Mary, Hannah and Abigail.  He died at the age of 81 on April 8th, 1754 in Wrentham, Norfolk, Massachusetts.1
