Thomas was born in Subdeanerie Parish, Chichester, England.1   Thomas' father was Thomas Skinner and his mother was Mary Skinner.  His maternal grandfather is William Godden. He had two brothers named Abraham and John.  He died in Colchester, New London, Connecticut.2
