Charles Henry Paine

Charles Henry was born on February 13th, 1788 in Amenia, Cayuga, New York. Charles Henry's father was Edward Paine and his mother was Betsey Paine. His paternal grandparents were Stephen Paine and Deborah Paine. He had four brothers and four sisters, named Joel, Edward, Joel, Asahel King, Elizabeth, Roxalina, Nancy and Lydia. He was the eighth oldest of the nine children. He had a half-brother and two half-sisters, named John Walworth, Sally Maria and Eliza. He died at the age of 71 on April 5th, 1859 in Monmouth, Warren, Illinois. He was buried in Monmouth, Warren, Illinois, Sugar Tree Grove.

General Notes
- Served in the War of 1812. He moved to Portage County, Ohio after his marriage and lived there and farmed for a time, they then returned to Lake County untill 1835, they moved to Porter County, Indiana for a year and from there to Warren County, Illinois. They came to Sumner township in 1836 with five children. This information comes from the Warren County Portrait and Biographical Album. The family lived in Warren County until his death.
