Stephen Paine

Stephen was born in Rehoboth, Bristol, Connecticut. Stephen's father was Stephen Paine and his mother was Mary Paine. His paternal grandparents were Stephen Paine and Anne Paine; his maternal grandfather was Thomas Brintnall and his maternal grandmother is Esther Brintnall. He had a brother named Edward. He died in 1797 in Ellington, Tolland, Connecticut.

General Notes
- He moved to Preston after the death of his father and from there to North Bolton where he became the owner of large estates and devoted himself to farming. He was a patriot and though he was too old to fight, he encouraged his sons and all of them did fight in the Revolutionary War.
