Tobiasz was born on November 20th, 1858 in Golub-Dobrzyn, Poland.1   Tobiasz's father was Ber Pieniek and his mother was Reichla Kraianek.  His paternal grandparents were Tobiasz Pieniek and Ester Bezbrody. He had two sisters named Hawa and Fayga.  He was the youngest of the three children.
