Chaya Leah was born in 1923.  Chaya Leah's father was Yisrael Meyer Pieniek and her mother was Henna Sarah Dragon.  Her paternal grandparents were David Eleazer (Layzer)  Pieniek and Rana Temara Braun; her maternal grandparents are Yitzchak Yakov Dragon and Chaya Leah Konskovolsky. She had two brothers and three sisters, named Shloyma, Yitzchak Yakov, Yita (Itta), Esther (Estera) and Rana.  She was the third oldest of the six children. She had three half-brothers and two half-sisters, named David Joshua, Heinich (Hanoch) (Henry), Moniek (Morris, Moishe), Miriam (Manya) and Baila.  She died in the Holocaust in Treblinka.1
