Menachem Mendel was born in 1953 in Rhodesia.  Menachem Mendel's father is Shlomo Elimelech (Solomon) Nuss (King) and his mother was Leah (Lena) Pieniek (Tekulsky).  His paternal grandparents were Yaakov David Nuss and <Unknown>; his maternal grandparents were Menachem Mendel Pieniek and Rachel. He had a brother and two sisters, named Jacob (Jackie) David, Rachel and Krendel Esther.
