• General Notes
  • "Her name was Leah [Lena] daughter of Menachem Mendel and Rachel and she always said she was born in Serotsk near Warsaw. She was born on 4th May 1904, and her Mother died when she was 5 and I am not sure when her Father died. I do not think she had siblings. She was sent to the family Tekulsky to be cared for when she was orphaned. She left Poland in 1925 to marry Shlomo Elimeilech Nuss [ who became Solomon King ] in Salisbury Rhodesia"   
    "My mother lived in Salisbury, Rhodesia from 1926 to 1962 and then they made Aliyah to Israel and lived in Ramat Gan until she became ill in 1992. We brought her to be with me and my late sister in Cape Town. My Mother died in Cape Town in 1993 and was buried in Hafa in Israel next to my Father [Solomon] and Brother [Jackie)."
