Walter was born about May 1863 in Barking Essex and his christening took place on June 28th, 1863 at St Margaret's Barking.1   Walter's father was George Cabburn Simmans (Bricklayer) and his mother was Emma Hart (Emily  bur D 858 Rippleside).  His paternal grandparents were William Simmans (shoemaker) and Hannah Cabburn; his maternal grandparents were William  Henry Hart (Ag Labourer) and Ann Lodge (St Pancras SomerT). He had five brothers named Arthur, Frederick, Ernest, Albert and Bertrum.  He was the oldest of the six children.  He died  due to Hypostatic Pneumonia on April 16th, 1947 at 30 Twickenham Rd Isleworth.  He was buried on April 25th, 1947 in D 378 Rippleside.2
