William was born on February 28th, 1808 in Barking Essex and his christening took place on July 22nd, 1810 at St Margaret's  Church Barking.1  William's father was William Simmans (LinenDraper) and his mother was Sarah Belchar.  His paternal grandfather was Simmans and his paternal grandmother is <Unknown>; his maternal grandparents were Giles Belchar (Baker) and Elizabeth Mears. He had eight brothers and four sisters, named William, William, Charles, John, William, Joseph, James, James, Elizabeth, Amy, Sarah and Sarah.  He died at the age of 81 on March 23rd, 1889 in Barking Essex.  The funeral took place in March 1889 at St Margaret's  Church Barking.  He was buried in March 1889 at St Margaret's  Church Barking.2
