Charles was born in May 1819 in Barking Essex and his baptism took place on June 6th, 1819 at St Margaret's  Church Barking.1   Charles' father was Charles Dunsdon (Fisherman) and his mother was Mary Lucas (Mangler).  His paternal grandparents were Charles Richard Dunsdon (Fisherman) and Martha Bowman; his maternal grandparents are Lucas and <Unknown>. He had three brothers and three sisters, named Thomas, Henry, James or Jane, Mary, Martha and Emma.  He was the oldest of the seven children.  He died at the age of 78 on January 1st, 1898 in Alms House Barking Essex.  The funeral took place on January 5th, 1898 at the Rippleside Cemetery Barking.  He was buried on January 5th, 1898 at the Rippleside Cemetery Barking.2
