George was born about October 2nd, 1861 in Barking Essex and his christening took place on October 9th, 1861 at St Margaret's  Church Barking.1   George's father was Charles Dunsdon (Fisherman) and his mother was Sarah Lewsey.  His paternal grandparents were Charles Dunsdon (Fisherman) and Mary Lucas (Mangler); his maternal grandparents were John Lewsey (Servant/Carrier) and Sarah Sharp. He had two brothers and five sisters, named Charles, Frederick, Sarah, Eliza, Alice, Martha and Mary.  He was the youngest of the eight children.




George's family

George and Martha were married in a religious ceremony on January 22nd, 1896 at St Michael Archangel Braintree.
