George was born on October 11th, 1694 in Stone, Staffordshire, England.  George's father was John BOX and his mother was Jane DOD.  His paternal grandparents were John BOX and Edith (UNKNOWN).  He had three brothers and a sister, named Matthew, Andrew, Thomas and Elizabeth.  He was the second oldest of the five children.
