Rose STRUZA (STROUZER)

Rose was born in 1905. Rose's father was Zigmund STRUZA (STROUZER) and her mother was Louisa Jane SHEPHERD. Her paternal grandparents were Michael STRUZA and Chaya LNU. She had two brothers and two sisters, named Harry, Sidney (Simcha), Eva and Doris. She was the oldest of the five children. She died at the age of 92 in 1997.

  Steve Strouzer:
  Rose married Willy (last name unknown), a barber and compulsive gambler. His brother was killed when the Japanese bombed Shanghai in 1938. Rose divorced him in the 1940's. Rose had a boarding house in Westcliffe on Sea, Essex. She moved to Bournemouth in 1970's, and ended her life in a residential home. (...) As far as the barbering connection is concerned, all of the brothers were barbers to start with, and great-grandfather Michael in
  Lublin was a barber-surgeon - haircuts, dentistry, minor operations, accoucheur, etc. Zigmund, Isaac, Joseph and Sam were all barbers, my dad was, and so ws his sister Rose (ladies' hairdresser.)
