    Caroline Champlin, daughter of Francis Cole Champlin and Rachel Gibbons, was born in Vinton County, Ohio on September 20, 1837 and died in Boyd County, Kentucky in 1918.
    
    On September 16, 1858 she married (1st) David Snyder in Vinton County, Ohio. He was a blacksmith who was born in 1836 in Pennsylvania and died on October 24, 1862 in Ohio. He was buried in Tennessee.
