Peter was born in 1858 in Kirknewton. Peter's father was Peter Turner and his mother was <Unknown>.  His paternal grandparents were John Turner and Janet Marshall. He had three brothers and a sister, named James, R., William and Janet.  He was the second youngest of the five children.  He died in Kirknewton.
