James Mathie

James was born on September 26th, 1782 in Paisley and his baptism took place on September 29th, 1782 in Paisley Abbey parish.

James' father was John Mathie and his mother was Mary Brown. He had four brothers and three sisters, named Alexander, William, James, Robert, Margaret, Annie and Mary.  He was the fourth oldest of the eight children.  He died at the age of 2 in April 1785.
