Robert was born in 1878 in Govan.1 Robert's father was Robert Anderson and his mother was Catherine Stalker. His maternal grandparents were Peter Stalker and Hellen Hamilton. He had three sisters named Helen, Isa and Kate. He was the second youngest of the four children.-
